We love the DryShield. It is particularly useful during surgical procedures that require extensive irrigation. We have integrated DryShield into our practice to enhance safety and efficacy during procedures such as bone grafting, Dental alveolar surgery such as extraction or tori, and wisdom tooth extractions under sedation anesthesia. The device provides stabilized mandible position and an open field for surgery, while greatly enhancing airway protection and the suction of surgical fluids. A typical example is using DryShield during a sinus lift bone graft procedure.

A typical example is using DryShield during a sinus lift bone graft procedure. The case photo below shows a DryShield bite block on the right side with extension of the suction pad across the throat to the opposite cheek. In this application it stabilizes the jaw, enhances the throat pack placed superficial to it, and provides suction for airway protection.
